Stained glass, Tiffany technique from my original drawing and created for a high dining room window in a residence surrounding by natural environment.
I did put 75 hrs of work from the drawing to the frame, I am very happy with the result and colors.

Thanks a lot !
This is a stained glass panel created with Tiffany technique. First I do all my designs next, I pick the glass colors which I cut pieces by pieces with a glass cutter. I put the copper tape all around each piece and next step is soldering. This is a long process and many hours of work. I suggest you start by looking the Tiffany technique in Youtube and buy a good book explaining the different tools and get started by using a simple drawing you have. I suggest also you draw all your pattern so you create original art and nobody can do the same as you cause it's copyright. Good luck !

Hi,
all sheets of glass are sold by special glass stores ...just check in your area and artist community or you go online . I prefer to go in the store to pick my colors and all material is sold there too. There are specialists who can help you with all that and the probably have also basic courses you can take from there.
Have fun !

Thank you ! I have to say the background show through ...so it's my backyard that makes colors. This is very interesting to see a stained glass at different seasons ; light is playing with the glass.  :-)

Hi !
I do commissions sometimes but I never replique a piece I did before this is why my work is very unique creations. When somebody want a piece, I ask questions and then I start some sketches. After an agreement on the sketch and on MY style, I continue the drawing adding some colors. ....and also people have to be very patient because it could take time for the final piece. I always create something I like very much myself. This is why I have a photo album for people to look at when I do an exhibition so they can see my style of kind of semi-abstract- figurative.

Thank you for the information, what is a standard price if you can give one!

The standard today is 150$ square foot. This is a basic price + the complexity of the work, number of pieces, the kind of glass, material and also the originality of the design. Stained glass material is very expensive and so the shipping; it depends on the weight and the size and the money change eg: USA $ / Cdn $
One of my Maple leaf is 25 $ Canadian + postage ? ( I don't know, it depends of the kind of package )

Got it thank you so very much, I always new that stained glass was expensive and the time and materials involved is all understandable!
